As the baton is passed from the previous Board of Directors to the next, I feel we should take the time to say “Thank You” to BVSA mem­bers that have given so much of themselves over the past several years. Jeff Lucas, Nanci Burkey, Laird Duncan, Bill and Lorraine Waughn, Ken Egan, Jean Stuart are departing this year. Their names will be added to a list of many others that have served the needs of the club. So many more that it is not possible to mention them all in this column. One of the nicest parts about being in­volved with BVSA is that members stay involved. Take for example Tom Ward, who attends nearly every Board meeting, Barb & Dan Dacey, who assist at every party and members like the Briggs, who host the annual bonfire. I would be amiss if I did not include those that host pool parties, sailing ad­ventures, the Bike and Barge and camping. What about the Halloween party, Happy Hours and our newest endeavor, Singles! 

I am fortunate to be able to draw from the knowledge and support of so many wonderful people. As we enter a new BVSA year of events and activities I, together with your Board of Directors, en­courage your involvement and suggestions. I look forward to serving the membership of BVSA.
